Syllabus for LP/UP?
Kerala PSC has released a syllabus highlighting some of the important topics for the LP/UP exam. You can download it by visiting the official PSC site or from down below.
Pay scale for LP/UP?
The salary is between Rs.35600- Rs.75400 for candidates who have cleared LP/UP exams.
Eligibility for LP/UP exam?
The following are the qualification for attending the LP/UP exams:
1)A passing grade in the SSLC exam administered by the Kerala Commissioner for Government Examinations or an equivalent exam.
OR
A passing grade in the Pre-degree examination offered by any university in Kerala or any exam deemed equal to it by any of these universities.
OR
A passing grade in the higher secondary exam administered by the Kerala Board of Higher Secondary Examinations or any other exam deemed comparable by the government.
2)A passing score on the TTC exam given by the Kerala Commissioner for Government Examinations. Or A degree in any field as well as a B.Ed, B.T, or L.T. that has been awarded or acknowledged by Kerala universities.
3)Candidates must have qualified for the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET), administered by the Kerala government.
(Exemption:- Candidates who have qualified CTET/ NET/ SET/ M- Phil/ Ph.D/ M.Ed in the respective subjects are exempted from acquiring TET)
Age limit for LP/UP exam?
The upper age limit for LP/UP exam is set at 43, and the lower age limit is 18.
What is the KTET exam, and is it important for LP/UP?
To establish who is qualified to teach in Lower Primary, Upper Primary, and High School classrooms in Kerala, Pareeksha Bhavan holds the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (KTET) test twice a year. This exam is critical for candidates preparing for the LP/UP exams as this is one of the eligibility criteria.
How much time will I get to prepare for the LP/UP exam?
After the upcoming PSC notification is published, there will be a minimum of 60 days and a maximum of 90 days available for all candidates to prepare for the LP/UP exams. This means that if the notification is officially released in March of 2023, then the exam will most likely be in June of 2023 or July of 2023.
How to study?
This is the most important question of all. Every student will find certain portions and subjects easy and some difficult.
